Deb Cowan...
...earned a Master of Arts degree in Music Therapy from the
University of the Pacific and is Board Certified through the
independent Certification Board for Music Therapists
(#06167, "Deborah Cowan"). She is currently working toward
a Ph.D. in Expressive Therapies.

Hearts'Arts~MusiQuest is Deb's private client practice, in
concert with other specially trained therapists as needed.
Deb specializes in hospice, mental health, especially
adolescents and youth at risk, with extensive experience in
after-school programs and acute inpatient psychiatry. She
currently is the Music Therapist for Sharp Hospice Care.

Additionally, as a subcontractor, Deb currently provides
Music Therapy and Expressive Arts services through
MusicWorx of California at the Scripps McDonald Recovery
Center and on the Oncology unit at Sharp Memorial Hospital.
Deb also works ~20 hours/month as a Music Therapist at
Alvarado Parkway Institute in La Mesa.

Deb is an experienced presenter and will be teaching "Music
Therapy with Trauma and Loss" through UCSD Extension's
Behavioral Health Division on June 6, 2009. CEU's are
available for MFT's, LCSW's, and RN's.
